Beggar’s Garment

The beggar's garment was a garment worn by those unable to work and provide for themselves, during the day they would take the garment and lay it down on the ground for others to throw money in so that they may have a means of living. The beggar's garment was much more than just a piece of cloth used to collect money. It was his identity. Everyone knew he was a beggar by the garment. It labeled him; blind Bartimaeus.
