One of the few

One of the few………… Proverbs says without a vision the people perish. Truer words were never spoken but just as the people perish without the vision, the vision without people will perish. As the church we are an army not an audience. There is fighting to be done and many are willing to fight the good fight of faith, but just as Nehemiah built the walls of Jerusalem with a tool in one hand and a sword in the other, we are to labor as well as fight. Most (not all) have the sword in one hand, fighting the good fight but the other hand is holding the “people just...

BUT Noah

God=s eyes were full of the sin and wickedness that was upon the earth. We know what we hear and see of the world and the sin of man and are overwhelmed. God sees all  there is nothing hidden form the Lord, imagine what God must see on a daily basis. Jeremiah said thou o Lord try the righteous, and see the reins and heart of man (Jeremiah 12:20). The Lord told Samuel Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7). As full...

Dominion and deception

The serpent may have been more subtle (deceiving) than any other beast of the field (Gen 3:1) but it was still part of the creation that man was to have dominion over (Gen 1:28). We could all learn a lesson here, as Christians we should understand that we are to exercise our dominion over the enemy and not be ignorant to his devices (II Cor. 2:11).  Those whom the god of this world has blinded their minds (II Cor. 4:4), the lost would realize that he is a liar and the father of it (John 8:44) and for their eyes to be open to see the enemy for who he is one who kills, steals and destroys...

If God Ran an Ad in the Classifieds

John 4:19-24 If God ran an ad in the classifieds in the local newspaper, there isn't but one thing he would be looking for, someone who would worship him in Spirit and truth. The God of heaven and earth who needs nothing is searching for someone to worship him in Spirit and in truth. Psalms 50:7-14. Job description and requirements. Must worship in Spirit and in truth. Must be willing to worship in all kind of weather. True worship does not depend upon circumstances. Must be self motivated.  Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Must be willing to work long hours. Psalms 113:3 From the rising...

Issues

Mark 5:25-34 This lady had an issue of blood which kept her alienated and in despair for over twelve years, while the issue was very trying on her physically, draining her of energy and strength she needed. It was also tough on her socially; her condition prevented her from coming into contact with others so as to not make them unclean. As well as spiritually, she was forbidden in worship feasts and celebrations. It was unable to kill her, because her body produced more blood to sustain life.   Although she was drained she was not defeated because there was still hope as long as she was...
